We saved this day for the CHOW clan. The reunion was planned weeks ahead after we've booked our tickets to Orlando. Alice and the kids have come a long way after moving to the States 4 years ago. They were in Virginia for a year before settling down in Florida. It was when the Chow siblings were schooling in Virginia that they spent occasional weekends in New York. We established a sense of kinship while they were staying with us summer 2005. They were very nice kids, polite and respectful, smart and brainy, all three are computer genius. 
We parted our ways after they moved to Florida, and lost contact for a while. When we finally actively got in touch again, it was already Easter 2008. We were then thinking of flying Manny to New York for his summer but because the other 2 siblings were tight up at work, he would then be an unaccompanied junior that needed special arrangement if traveling alone. The plan was called off unanimously, but we have never ruled out the possibility of visiting them.
A nice place to hang outHere we are, at last. Embracing them in our arms brought lots of mixed feelings to surface. Like we are half-way home, reuniting with our family. They have grown so much, maturing to adulthood (for Laura & Gabe), and Manny adjusting to puberty (that's why he's so quiet and tried not to crack his voice). Today is the best day to me. Richard & I enjoyed having breakfast with them in IHOP, doing shopping in Walmart & Premium Outlets, being driven around the place where Laura lives, and laughing the night away in a Polynesian restaurant at Disney resort... It's not about where we went, it's the companionship, the connection, the celebration that matters.
