Multicultural Celebration

The church that I attend is in a very diversed neighborhood, therefore we could see parishioners who are Italian, Polish, Filipino, Mexican, Chinese (very few) and of course, the Americans. And because of that, our church has a multicultural music and dance festival every two years.

This year is the very first time we have prayers read in Chinese, and so it is a breakthrough. The Spanish and Filipino group presented some very nice songs in the mass, and we the English choir also brought some lively numbers to it.

'Love in Any Language' in sign language

We had 2 beautiful songs chosen for the night's performance - 'Love in Any Language' and 'We are the World', bringing the message of oneness and unity to our once very cold church. Everybody enjoyed the night very much, the music, the food, and the fellowship. I thought this is a very good fellowship and hope to have it more often.
