New Year Updates

After a long silence of 2 weeks (yet another), I have so much to share, yet don't know where to begin with. hahaha.

Christmas was busy - as usual, choir singing, family reunion and friends gathering. We gathered with my sister and her husband for a Christmas eve dinner, had some Aussie's steak and wings, it was awe~~some! The noisy bunch then came to our place Sunday after Christmas for the gift-unwrap and food galore. And the best thing was, we sang Christmas carols together.

New Year's Day was quiet - freezingly cold. A good day for movie but too cold to even stepped out of the house. But I couldn't wait any longer when it came to Sunday (Jan 3), we braved the cold to the theater in Manhattan and watched AVATAR and ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS, 5 stars to Avatar and 2 to Chipmunks.

The weather has been artic-like since New Year's. After that snow storm before Christmas, we had few more snow showers till New Year's. And since then, for 12 consecutive days now, we have not recovered from the 20sF (-10C), and the wind chill (make you feel like) could be as brutal as -4F (-20C) in the evenings.

Even warm Southern states like Florida and Georgia tagged a 28F low (their usual winter temp is 40F the most), not to mention the Northern states like Minnesota and Iowa recorded an average -10F (-30C)! We're not far from North Pole, temperature wise. For public transport commuters like us just have to bundle ourselves up every single day to prevent frost bite. I hate winter! And it's only the beginning... ** sigh **

I love the snow but not the freezing cold weather. I had not experienced that much of snow in england, so want to see snow again, love the snow scenes. Do enjoy the snow before it melts, hahahhaa..
